Hoaxwind
A faithful tribute to Dave Brock and his many band members. See you Saturday!
Lemmy was on bass on the Warriors At The Edge Of Time Album. The two joined tracks Assault and Battery and Golden Void made a big impression on 18 year old me.
They form part of a two hour set of classic Hawkwind that we have lovingly put together over a few years.
Last Saturday we played the Hampton Hub Club. Here’s a hawkwindy video I’ve CapCut together from two camera angles.
Saturday, June 20th we play the Billesley Rock Club the same night as the Sonic fest is running 25 minutes away. So we’ll probably be unusually thin on the ground -
- even though the legendary Andy Gangadeen will be filling in on drums.
If you know any classic rock fans in Birmingham - please let them know!
warm wishes
Tim

That looked a great gig, Tim. Had no idea you played sax, what a great solo.
I remember seeing Robert Calvert (who I preferred to Lemmy as a vocalist) playing a small solo gig in central London circa 1981. It was intimate and exciting. Just him, a backing track on a reel-to-reel and a Casio VL-1: this tiny little keyboard held in one hand that was just so cool I went out and bought myself one the same week. It showed me that you didn't need a whole load of gear, you just needed a bit of talent. Sadly I sold it but I still have an original Stylophone, oh yes.
Love it! Silver (DREAM) Machine :)))
If you haven't had a Hawkwind phase, you haven't truly lived. Do you rate King Gizzard, Tim?
